What services do you provide?
We provide ASIC miner hosting. This includes racking, maintenance (blowouts, cleaning), minor repairs (fan swaps, PSU swaps, hashboard consolidation).
Which forms of payment do you accept?
We accept crypto, credit card and ACH payments.
How do I sign up?
Will you host older mining hardware?
Yes, we will accept older ASIC mining hardware if it is in acceptable condition.
Do I pay for the shipping of my equipment to your location?
Yes, all shipping and customs (when applicable) of equipment to and from our data mining farm must be prepaid.
Do you offer insurance?
No. You are required to have proof of insurance or sign a waiver prior to bitcoin miner hosting with us.
Is there a set-up fee?
No.
Do you offer support and/or repair services?
We have a good relationship with several ASIC repair centers in the region. These good relationships ensure speedy turnaround time.
Will I be compensated for downtime?
Yes, you will be compensated for any downtime caused by internet or power incidents that go beyond our 99% uptime guarantee per month. A credit will be issued against the next month's billing.
Do you monitor pool status?
Our monitoring software will allow you to receive alerts if any of your miners are not connected. We strongly urge you to have a backup pool configured on every machine.
Can I get VPN access to my miners?
You will have full access to your miners through our monitoring software. If VPN access is required, that is something we can provide.
Will you host a GPU mining rig?
We do not currently accept GPU miners. If you have a need to host a substantial number of enclosed rigs, please contact us.
Will I prepay for your services?
All services require a payment in advance by the 1st of each month for that month.
What happens if I miss my payment?
The machines will either be shut down or mined to DC Mining pools until your payment is made.
How can I trust that my equipment is safe with you?
We have been in business since 2015 without incident. Our team is fully doxxed. References are available upon request. All of our locations are access controlled and monitored 24/7/365.
Do you sell equipment?
Not directly, but we do have plenty of affiliated companies we could refer you to.
Is your power from renewable energy sources?
Our power supplier, NWREC, is known for their renewable energy programs and incentives, primarily wind power (a full 18% of their energy mix) but also hydropower and solar.
After reserving space, how long do I have until I need to start using it?
30 days is the typical amount of time we will hold space. We also do understand presales and extended shipping times so we will do our best to accommodate on an individual case basis.
Will you help me sell my miners?
We do have an extensive network of people we can put you in contact with that may buy your miners, but we do not have an abundance of time to delegate to the task.
Will you buy my miners from me?
No, we do not purchase miners or trade for services.
How dependable is your power?
Aside from curtailments, we have never had downtime at our current location.
How dependable is your internet?
We have incorporated redundant internet providers, firewalls and switches to ensure internet connectivity is not an issue.
How much do you charge per kilowatt (kWh)?
This varies based on the following factors: machine make and model, age, condition, service term length. Contact us for a detailed quote.
Where are you located?
A: We are based out of the Chicagoland area. Our sites are in Iowa.
What makes DC Mining different?
Our experience in designing and building data centers focuses on the critical factors to keep your miners up and running longer. Expertise in clean airflow and power quality set us apart from the rest.
What is your hosting capacity?
In Galva, Iowa: 5 MW. In Davenport, IA: 6 MW.
For what does the hosting fee per kW pay?
This fee is for the cost of the airflow/filtration, power and network infrastructure necessary to optimally run your equipment, as well as onsite technicians to keep hashrate optimal.
How is my power usage calculated?
We utilize Foreman software to draw power consumption data from the miners and create power consumption reports. These reports are then used to generate invoices at the end of the month.
Is there anything that would change my costs?
Our energy provider (NWREC) uses enough renewable energy that our power costs rarely, if ever, fluctuate in a manner that has material impact on the bottom line.
